Passionate about making a difference in high school students math education? A contract Math Teacher is needed for the upcoming school year, focusing on full-time instruction in a supportive educational setting. This position runs from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering the opportunity to inspire and guide high school learners near Canton, MI.
Key Qualifications:
Active Michigan teaching certificate with Math Endorsement (please ensure current license/certification details are included in your application) Experience teaching Math at the high school level in a general education setting is preferred Strong classroom management and organizational abilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and families Ability to use differentiated instruction and adapt lessons for diverse learning styles
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging math lesson plans aligned with state and district standards Teach full-time (37.5 hours per week) to high school students Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction as needed Collaborate with school staff and administration to support student achievement Participate in meetings and professional development throughout the contract term Maintain accurate records for grades, attendance, and student progress
