Teacher, full time Position Details Detroit Community Schools is hiring a full time Geometry Teacher. Must have Michigan teacher certification and endorsement in the subject. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geometry Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mathematics and a commitment to helping students develop their geometric reasoning, analytical skills, and confidence in math. The Geometry Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, developing curriculum, and assessing student performance.Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Teach geometry concepts including points, lines, planes, angles, triangles, similarity, congruence, theorems, and trigonometry in a clear and concise manner. Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations. Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives. Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution. Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff Regular and predictable attendanceQualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan for secondary education with an endorsement in the subject. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities. Strong knowledge of geometric concepts and the ability to convey complex ideas in an understandable way.Benefits:
