Position Summary St. David's School seeks an accomplished, collaborative educator who is called to invest in the lives of middle grade students to join the Mathematics Department as a Middle School Mathematics Teacher. This position involves teaching students with a wide range of abilities, including coursework up through Pre-Algebra and Algebra. The role also includes serving as a Middle School Advisor, supporting and guiding students through the transition from Middle School to Upper School. Essential Responsibilities Teach Middle School mathematics classes, including Pre-Algebra and Algebra-level concepts Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varied learning abilities Foster deep conceptual understanding along with procedural fluency in mathematics Create an engaging, inquiry-based classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creative thinking, and disciplined reasoning Utilize hands-on and interactive teaching strategies to make mathematical concepts meaningful Serve as a Middle School Advisor, shepherding students through academic, social, and developmental milestones Support the broader mission and values of St. David's School through active participation in school life Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required) Experience teaching middle grade students strongly preferred Strong content knowledge in middle school mathematics Commitment to nurturing intellectual curiosity and a love of learning Passion for working with young people and supporting their growth during the middle school years Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a close-knit academic environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary Robust benefits package including: Retirement benefits Health insurance options Tuition discount for children of faculty Small class sizes and a collaborative, supportive work environment Additional Information All candidates are encouraged to learn more about the mission and vision of St. David's School by visiting www.stdavidsraleigh.org .
