Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hydraulic/Diesel Mechanic specializing in Heavy Equipment to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting drilling projects. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical components of heavy equipment such as tracked drill rigs, skid steers, mud cleaning systems. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Read and interpret OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals to accurately troubleshoot issues. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet repair specifications. Operate heavy equipment safely during testing procedures post-repair or maintenance to ensure proper functionality. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted for accountability and future reference. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards and quality protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment repair; Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical diagnostics. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting complex issues. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of using hand tools and power tools efficiently. Experience working with OEM parts such as Caterpillar or other major brands; familiarity with industrial equipment and farm machinery is advantageous. Valid certification or licensing related to vehicle maintenance or heavy equipment operation is a plus. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
