Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging math instruction, demonstrating deep content knowledge and effective teaching strategies Develop and implement detailed lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards Use formative assessments and differentiated instruction to drive student learning and address individual needs Manage a full classroom with strong behavioral and classroom management skills, creating a safe and productive environment Adapt to the daily needs of students in an urban setting, exhibiting cultural competence and a commitment to educational equity Collaborate professionally with fellow teachers, administrators, and families as part of the broader school community Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and other required documentation Meet all assigned duties and obligations, and participate in meetings and professional development

Qualifications:

Active and valid certification or licensure suitable for the assigned 7th grade math caseload Bachelor's degree required (or eligibility for emergency teaching permit with degree) Prior experience in school settings, particularly within urban environments Demonstrated strength in classroom management and student engagement Reliable transportation to ensure punctual, onsite attendance (8:00 AM - 3:15 PM) Successful completion of all required PA clearances Comfort and adaptability for urban district and middle school setting Willing to complete a Zoom interview during the selection process This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, from ASAP through June 10, 2027.
