Job Description

Step into a dynamic high school environment where your expertise in teaching general education math will positively impact students. This full-time, onsite contract position offers two immediate openings for dedicated educators ready to engage high schoolers in meaningful mathematics instruction. Youll serve a general education caseload, with occasional collaboration alongside SPED teachers for any students requiring additional support. In this role, you'll work 35 hours per week, from 8:30AM to 4PM, through June 10, 2027.
Qualifications & Experience:
Must possess active teaching certification/licensure appropriate to the caseload Bachelors degree required to obtain an emergency teaching permit Demonstrated previous experience teaching in schools; urban setting experience preferred Proven mastery of relevant math content, instructional techniques, and curriculum resources Strong classroom management and behavior intervention capabilities Experience in lesson planning with alignment to state and district standards, differentiated instruction, and formative assessment Able to work exclusively onsite within the required schedule; no scheduling accommodations offered Reliable transportation to and from the school Comfortable working within district settings and urban communities Completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances prior to start
Responsibilities:
Teach a high school math caseload consisting primarily of general education students Develop and deliver effective lesson plans tailored to diverse learners Foster a positive, productive classroom environment Collaborate with SPED teachers as needed to ensure all student needs are met Participate in ongoing professional, team, and district meetings The application process includes a Zoom interview to discuss your fit for the role.
