Join the Maverick faculty at McNeil High School. McNeil is an "A"-rated campus serving approximately 2,600 students in northwest Austin/Round Rock, dedicated to preparing students for college, technical careers, and citizenship through rigorous, relevant curricula. We are hiring High School Mathematics Teachers to deliver TEKS-aligned instruction, build critical-thinking skills, and drive academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver TEKS-aligned mathematics coursework (such as Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, or advanced math electives) tailored to a diverse student body, including accommodations for Emergent Bilingual and special populations. Assess student mastery through ongoing formal and informal checks; analyze campus and assessment data to target reteaching and interventions forSTAAR/EOC
exams. Integrate educational technology into daily instruction to deepen conceptual understanding and problem-solving. Foster an orderly, productive classroom environment aligned with the Student Code of Conduct and campus core values. Maintain regular, professional communication with parents, guardians, and support staff regarding student performance. Participate in departmental PLCs, staff meetings, and required campus supervisory duties. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Valid Texas Educator Certificate in secondary Mathematics (Grades 7-12 or 8-12), or current enrollment in an approved Texas Alternative Certification Program (ACP) with an eligible Statement of Eligibility (SOE). Strong working knowledge of TEKS standards, curriculum alignment, and high school instructional strategies. Ability to work effectively in a high-enrollment, collaborative campus environment.
