The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and to contribute to the continued growth and development of the UNT Dallas Department of Mathematics. Position Overview The number of vacancies will depend on student enrollment, division needs, and dean approval. Your application cannot be considered until all required documents have been received. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for planning classes, implementing and evaluating teaching/learning objectives, and assessing student learning outcomes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining office hours and fulfilling the professional obligations of a part-time faculty member. The successful candidate will provide instruction for lower-division mathematics courses, which may include:
D. in Mathematics Education with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics. Significant experience in higher education. Successful experience teaching adult learners in a post-secondary setting. Excellent communication skills. Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information. Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds. Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing. Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Environmental Hazards No adverse environmental conditions expected. Work Schedule Varies per academic schedule Driving University Vehicle No Security Sensitive This is a Security Sensitive Position.
