Job Description
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of South Alabama invites applications for a full-time (9 month), tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in mathematics, starting August 15, 2027. Applicants should possess an earned doctoral degree in mathematics or a closely related field. Applicants should have a strong commitment to both research and teaching. Research faculty members typically receive a reassigned course load of three classes in the fall and two classes in the spring semesters to help facilitate their on-going peer-reviewed research. Review of applications will begin on November 6, 2026, and continue until the position is filled.
