Kentucky State University seeks highly qualified Adjunct Faculty members with a terminal degree to teach in the Sports Analytics Program. The program is delivered fully online in an accelerated 8-week course model across one academic year. The Adjunct Faculty member will provide high-quality, student-centered instruction that equips learners with advanced analytical and applied skills for careers in sports and related industries. Faculty are also expected to maintain active engagement with students, support their academic progress, and encourage scholarly and professional development activities.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Teach assigned 8-week online courses in Sports Analytics, including but not limited to: Foundations of Sports Analytics, Sports Data Management & Visualization, Predictive Modeling in Sports, Applied Sport Performance Analytics, and Sports Analytics Capstone/Project. Deliver course content in a clear, structured, and engaging manner suited to accelerated online instruction. Develop and maintain course materials aligned with program learning outcomes and Kentucky State University's mission and strategic plan. Assess student learning through assignments, projects, and case studies designed for 8-week terms. Provide timely and constructive feedback, and maintain a strong online presence through announcements, discussion boards, and email communication. Encourage and support graduate students in preparing scholarly projects for professional presentation at regional and national conferences. Maintain required records (attendance, grades, syllabi, assessments) in accordance with university policy. Participate in required university or departmental meetings, trainings, or compliance activities as scheduled.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Strong instructional and communication skills with the ability to explain complex data and analytics concepts clearly. Excellent organizational skills to manage an accelerated 8-week course schedule. Commitment to student learning, equity, and success in online environments. Ability to mentor and encourage graduate students in scholarly and professional activities. Proficiency in learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and virtual communication platforms.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is performed in a remote, online instructional environment. Faculty must have reliable access to a computer and high-speed internet connection suitable for synchronous and asynchronous teaching. Work is primarily sedentary and performed at a computer for extended periods. Must be able to communicate effectively through online platforms and respond to students and colleagues in a timely manner. Occasional participation in virtual meetings, trainings, or academic events may be required outside of regular teaching times.
