This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic, accredited academic program that offers both Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) degrees in Respiratory Care. Applicants will be considered for this part-time faculty appointment as an Adjunct Professor, in the School of Health Professions. Required Qualifications Earned doctoral degree (M.D., Ph.D., Ed.

D., D.H.Sc., or equivalent) in Respiratory Care, Health Sciences, Medicine, Education, Research, or a closely related field. Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Minimum of five years of clinical experience Established record of scholarly productivity, including peer-reviewed publications, professional presentations, research projects, or other significant scholarly contributions. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in research methodology, study design, data analysis, interpretation of findings, scientific writing, and dissemination of scholarly work. Experience teaching and mentoring students in research, including the development, implementation, analysis, and dissemination of research or scholarly projects. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching research methodology, evidence-based practice, statistics, scientific writing, or research-focused courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Experience mentoring students and/or faculty in the development, implementation, analysis, and dissemination of research or scholarly projects. Experience with research design, data analysis, scientific writing, and development of scholarly products, including abstracts, manuscripts, posters, and professional presentations. Demonstrated scholarly engagement and ability to contribute research expertise to the Department of Respiratory Care's teaching, research, and scholarly initiatives. The Department of Respiratory Care is one of seven departments in the School of Health Professions. In addition to the School of Health Professions, the UT Health San Antonio also has a Medical School, Dental School, Nursing School, School of Public Health, and a Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Front-loaded Paid Time Off:
128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.
Extended Illness Bank:
8 hours (1 day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken.
Paid Family Leave:
Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of consecutive employment.
Holidays:
