JOB DESCRIPTION
After-School Program - Club Wildcat Teacher
REPORTS TO
Communications Specialist

JOB GOAL
To support Site Coordinator with the supervision, instruction and behavior of students during the Club Wildcat after-school program. Support students and faculty promoting a safe, and enrichment learning environment. Be relatable to children and the needs of children. Willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with needs of the Club Wildcat program.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in education or similar field of study preferred; but not required. Valid Alabama Elementary Teacher Certificate preferred; but not required. Experience in early childhood education is preferred.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide day-to-day supervision and hands on assistance to students. Assist Club Wildcat Site Coordinator with daily activities and/or special events. Collaborate with Club Wildcat Site Coordinator regarding attendance, discipline and activities. Maintain an inviting, safe, fun, organized environment. Assist with daily afternoon after-school snack, clean up and meet required guidelines and reporting set forth by smart snack standards. Follow board policies and policies set forth by Scottsboro City Schools Board of Education. Follow Scottsboro City Schools Code of Conduct with respect to student disciplinary procedures. Maintain confidentiality requirements as outlined in board policy and employee handbook. Perform high-quality program instruction and support to enrolled students. Maintain an orderly, safe and clean environment for the after-school students. Perform necessary housekeeping duties as assigned. Work with students as needed to support daytime instruction and homework. Attend after-school staff meetings as designated. Participate and complete any required trainings. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with individuals. Punctuality, flexibility and regular attendance. Perform any other duties as assigned.
