Job Description

Planting Seeds Academic Solutions is Seeking Passionate & Dedicated Tutor Mentors! Do you have a passion for helping youth overcome challenges and reach their full potential? Planting Seeds Academic Solutions is seeking compassionate and experienced mentors for its Mentorship program, located in the Union High School District, Phoenix, AZ. We are looking for candidates who can start ASAP and have the ability to work with out-of-school youth who have faced significant obstacles, including addiction, early pregnancy, and school dropouts.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized tutoring support in various subjects, including but not limited to math, English, science, and social studies. Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans tailored to the unique needs of each student. Create a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth and emotional well-being. Collaborate with parents/guardians and other support staff to ensure student success. Implement effective behavior management strategies to create a positive and productive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Must have experience in the field of tutoring and handling behavior issues. Must be living in the Phoenix Union High School District area. Experience with children is preferred, but not required. Must have own transportation. With IVP fingerprinted clearance card preferred. 1 year of teaching/mentoring experience preferred.

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
