The ideal candidate will demonstrate a caring attitude, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to engage students in a structured and positive environment. This role requires assisting students with homework, supervising activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the program.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage students in an after-school classroom setting. Assist students with homework and provide academic and behavioral support. Plan and lead age-appropriate enrichment activities. Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. Pick up students from designated schools using a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided). Collaborate with team members to ensure program goals are met.

Qualifications:

Experience working with school-age children preferred. Strong multitasking, communication, and classroom management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance. Must be comfortable using a personal vehicle for student transportation (gas mileage reimbursed). Must be available Monday-Friday from school dismissal until 6:00 PM.

Dependable and punctual. Positive, patient, and caring demeanor. Ability to adapt to changing situations and student needs Studying Child Development or Majoring in a specific subject (English, Math, STEM, etc.)

Additional Requirements:

Must complete the Mandated Reporter Training Certification (Child Care Provider version). Must hold a current CPR/First Aid certification (or be willing to obtain prior to start). Must provide proof of the following immunizations and health clearances: TDap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) TB test clearance Must complete fingerprint and background clearance prior to employment.

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience. Mileage reimbursement provided for student transportation.
