Role:

Academy of Excellence Learning Center in Lancaster, CA is looking for a passionate and energetic After School Teacher to join our dedicated team! Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage students in a safe, structured, and supportive after-school setting Plan and facilitate age-appropriate academic, recreational, and enrichment activities Assist students with homework, reading, and other academic assignments Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff Maintain classroom management and enforce behavioral expectations Monitor student progress and communicate updates to program coordinators Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students at all times

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in ECE must Previous experience working with school-age children in an educational or childcare setting Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to plan and lead engaging, creative activities for diverse learners Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine passion for youth development Must pass a background check and meet state childcare requirements CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
