About the Role Are you an enthusiastic educator who loves hands-on STEM projects, interactive experiments, and creative learning? Do you have a passion for inspiring young minds? We are looking for a dynamic, engaging, and versatile instructor to lead our premier after-school enrichment program for elementary students: Super Science . We are looking for an adaptable individual who can foster a love for science—inspiring young learners, critical thinkers, and creative problem-solvers—while providing a meaningful, fun, and safe after-school experience! About Our Program Super Science Take students on an out-of-this-world journey combining hands-on STEM projects, creative art, reading, and writing to spark curiosity and imagination. Facilitate interactive demonstrations and engaging projects, giving kids the chance to build, experiment, and create while strengthening critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Qualifications and Skills The Personality:
A fun, high-energy, and engaging individual who can motivate and build trust with elementary-aged students after the school day ends.
The Background:
Experience in elementary education, STEM instruction, child development, or a related field.
The Mindset:
A passion for encouraging curiosity, scientific confidence, and teamwork while maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
The Soft Skills:
Patience, empathy, adaptability, and top-notch communication skills with both kids and parents. Requirements Minimum 2 years of college education. At least 1 year of experience working with elementary-aged children. Ability to confidently manage a classroom of up to 20 students across different age levels (1st-5th grade). Must be able to pass background checks and a TB test. Reliable transportation to commute to Morgan Hill, CA. Ability to lift and carry classroom/instructional supplies (approximately 20 lbs. occasionally).
Compensation & Schedule Rate:
$25.00 to $30.00 per hour
