About the Role Are you an enthusiastic art educator who loves hands-on learning, 2D and 3D visual arts, and creative expression? Do you have a passion for inspiring young minds? We are looking for dynamic, engaging, and versatile instructors to lead two of our premier after-school visual art enrichment programs for elementary students: Clay Creations and Art Adventures . We are looking for adaptable individuals who can step into these creative worlds—inspiring budding sculptors and imaginative painters—while providing a meaningful, fun, and safe after-school experience! About Our Programs Clay Creations Step into the world of clay! Guide students through hand-building techniques while creating fun, functional projects like coasters, pumpkins, and bowls. Use paints, glazes, and sensory exploration to help students discover texture, form, and color while sharing finished pieces and in-class photos with parents to celebrate each child's artistic growth. Art Adventures Invite young artists to explore painting and drawing through guided projects like self-portraits, silhouette creatures, and textured paintings. Help students develop technical skills, motor control, and design awareness while experimenting with new techniques and expressing their unique creativity.

Qualifications and Skills The Personality:

A fun, high-energy, and engaging individual who can motivate and build trust with elementary-aged students after the school day ends.

The Background:

Experience in elementary education, visual arts, drawing, painting, or sculpting.

The Mindset:

A passion for encouraging creativity, artistic techniques, and self-expression while maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.

The Soft Skills:

Patience, empathy, adaptability, and top-notch communication skills with both kids and parents. Requirements Minimum 2 years of college education. At least 1 year of experience working with elementary-aged children. Ability to confidently manage a classroom of up to 20 students. Must be able to pass background checks and a TB test. Reliable transportation to commute to Foster City, CA . Ability to lift and carry art supplies (approximately 20-50 lbs. occasionally).

Compensation & Schedule Rate:

$25.00 to $30.00 per hour
