Do you like working with kids? Do you want to make a difference? The Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark & Simi Valley is seeking part-time Program Leaders to work with elementary and middle school students during our out-of-school programs at all Site locations in Moorpark and Simi Valley. In this position, program leaders will implement FUN activities, lead groups games, assist with homework and academic enrichment activities such as math, science, literacy and other areas. We are seeking dedicated and responsible candidates who enjoy working with children and making a positive difference in their lives. We prefer candidates who possess an AA degree, however select candidates with a high school diploma and relevant experience will be considered. First Aid and CPR certification is also required. First Aid / CPR training will be provided to selected candidates who do not already possess a First Aid / CPR certificate. All candidates will be subject to fingerprinting and a background clearance prior to employment. Work shift hours will vary, Monday through Friday between the hours of 1:30 pm - 6:00 pm. The pay rate is $17.00-$17.50 per hour with opportunities for advancement. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

The position requires the physical ability to lead and participate in active sports and games with children, monitor behavior requiring physical separation and participate in curriculum activities and housekeeping responsibilities. Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
