Seeking Lead STEAM Instructors! Challenge Island®, a premier, hands-on STEAM enrichment program, is hiring enthusiastic Lead Instructors for in-person school field trips, after-school programs, and family engagements across Walnut Creek, Danville, Alamo, Lafayette, Orinda, and Pleasanton. This part-time W-2 position is perfectly tailored for individuals with strong classroom management skills, an engaging instructional style, and a deep passion for student impact.

What we offer:

Premium Pay:

$50.00 - $60.00 / hour Training, lesson plans, and all project supply kits are 100% provided Flexible scheduling built around your availability.

Qualifications:

Experience in teaching, tutoring, or educational program development. (2+ years experience preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional classroom management. (Preferred) Ability to engage and inspire students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with educational technology and resources.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with project-based learning or interdisciplinary instruction. Knowledge of current educational methodologies and trends. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Requirements:

Must be available to work flexible part-time program hours (including daytime school field trips, after-school enrichment, or occasional weekend family events). Reliable transportation. Willing to complete a Criminal Background Check, fingerprinting, TB Test.
