Elementary School Students Compensation:
$55-$65 per session (depending on experience) About the Role We are looking for a creative, energetic, and dependable STEAM Instructor to lead engaging after-school enrichment classes for elementary students in Walnut Creek. This hands-on program introduces students to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) through exciting, project-based activities. Students will explore concepts such as basic circuitry, engineering design, simple machines, science experiments, creative building challenges, and other interactive STEM projects that encourage curiosity, innovation, and critical thinking. If you enjoy making learning fun and inspiring young innovators, we'd love to hear from you! Responsibilities Lead engaging, hands-on STEAM lessons for elementary students Facilitate projects involving circuitry, engineering, science experiments, and creative design challenges Encourage problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking Adapt activities to different learning styles and experience levels Create a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment Prepare lesson materials and equipment before each session Communicate regularly with program staff and school site coordinators Submit brief after-class reports following each session Requirements Experience working with elementary-aged students Comfortable leading hands-on STEAM activities and experiments Interest or background in STEM, engineering, science, technology, or education Strong classroom management and communication skills Reliable, organized, and professional Must maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with the team Required to submit brief after-class updates for every session Ability to commit to the Fall 2026 program schedule Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching STEAM, STEM, science, engineering, or maker programs Familiarity with basic electronics, circuitry, engineering challenges, or maker activities Previous experience leading after-school or enrichment programs Compensation & Schedule $55-$65 per session, depending on experience Every Thursday Beginning August through December 2026 Consistent weekly after-school schedule Join us in inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, inventors, and creators through fun, hands-on STEAM learning!
