Responsibilities:
Plans and teaches collaboratively with the grade-level team to implement best practices that support the success of all learners. Plans purposefully to provide students with meaningful opportunities to construct knowledge and deepen understanding of new concepts. Applies high-quality curriculum resources that promote student growth and align with required educational expectations. Introduces new ideas and concepts using varied instructional strategies, inspiring and guiding students to explore, express, and develop their own thinking. Administers, collects, and analyzes qualitative and quantitative data from a range of student assessments. Builds strong relationships with students' families through consistent communication regarding progress and by offering ways families can support learning at home. Participates in school-wide assessments to identify and address student needs. Supervises students during lunch and/or recess. Requirements Connecticut Teacher Certification, or eligibility for reciprocity from another state in an equivalent certification area, required. At least one year of teaching experience required. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range:
$53,235 - $118,163. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
