Duties Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging youth activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational projects Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to promote respectful interactions Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols and being prepared to respond with CPR or AED operation if necessary Support children with homework assistance or tutoring to reinforce learning concepts Collaborate with colleagues to develop age-appropriate curriculum and activities aligned with youth development goals Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and behavior updates Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations, including outdoor safety procedures and emergency protocols Experience Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred Demonstrated classroom management skills and experience in behavior management strategies Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and first aid protocols required; certification must be maintained current Experience facilitating youth group activities or leading outdoor work projects is advantageous Background in early childhood education or childhood development enhances your suitability for this role Proven ability to lead team efforts in a childcare or camp environment with enthusiasm and professionalism Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners Join us in creating a fun-filled environment that nurtures growth, encourages curiosity, and builds lasting memories for children. $19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.5 per week
