Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Teacher to join our vibrant education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a supportive, structured, and engaging classroom environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The ideal candidate will plan and deliver meaningful lessons, manage daily classroom activities, monitor student progress, and provide individualized support based on each student's learning needs. You will work collaboratively with school leadership, support staff, families, and other educational professionals to help each student reach their full potential. Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and educational activities that support students' academic, social, emotional, and developmental growth. Manage daily classroom activities while maintaining a safe, structured, organized, and inclusive learning environment. Develop and implement lesson plans that address individual student learning needs and align with school curriculum and educational goals. Provide individualized instruction and support to students with varying learning abilities, exceptionalities, and behavioral needs. Implement and support students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), learning plans, behavioral plans, and other accommodations as applicable. Monitor and assess student progress, maintain appropriate documentation, and adjust instructional strategies based on student performance and individual needs. Use positive behavior management techniques to establish clear expectations and promote respectful and productive classroom interactions. Foster meaningful relationships with students and create a classroom environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and motivated to learn. Collaborate with teaching assistants, behavioral support staff, therapists, school leadership, and other team members to provide comprehensive support for students. Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers regarding student progress, classroom expectations, achievements, and areas requiring additional support. Maintain accurate student records, attendance, assignments, progress reports, and other required educational documentation. Maintain an organized classroom and ensure instructional materials, technology, and educational resources are properly maintained. Follow all school policies, safety procedures, emergency protocols, and student supervision requirements. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, training, and continuing education related to instruction, exceptional student education, behavior management, and educational best practices. Perform other classroom and school-related duties as necessary to support students and the overall educational program. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children. Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children and collaborate well within a team environment. Strong communication skills to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
