A Middle or High School Teacher teaches middle school students, usually in grades 6 - 12, in a public or private school. Teaches one subject, or a group of subjects, such as math and science; works with one class all year or teaches different classes of students throughout the day. May mentor students, coach a school team or advise a student club. May specialize in working with students learning English or students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Description
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum for science classes
- Teach students various scientific concepts, including but not limited to discrete math, microbiology, genetics, and special education topics
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and engagement
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
- Supervise and conduct laboratory experiments and research projects
- Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience ```Experience```
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Previous experience working with students in a teaching or mentoring capacity
- Strong knowledge of scientific principles and concepts, including discrete math, microbiology, genetics, etc.
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies
- Experience in academic advising and mentoring students
- Ability to conduct research laboratory activities and experiments
- Proficiency in using technology in the classroom for instruction and assessment purposes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
