Full-Time, Non-Exempt Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling electrical powerline connectors and ensuring finished products meet established quality and production standards. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment, can follow detailed work instructions, and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality work. Manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus, but candidates with a strong work ethic and the ability to learn are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Assemble electrical powerline connectors and related components according to job instructions and established procedures. Read, understand, and follow work instructions, including identifying the correct components and tooling for each job. Inspect assembled products and identify defective, damaged, or sub-standard connectors. Separate acceptable products from rejects to ensure only quality products move through production. Maintain consistent production levels while meeting or exceeding established production standards. Complete required production paperwork and enter information into the company's MES system as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Properly use, maintain, and care for assigned tools and equipment. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Communicate effectively with supervisors, management, and fellow team members. Adapt to process changes and learn new assembly techniques and procedures. Maintain concentration and attention to detail throughout the workday. Perform additional production-related duties as needed to maintain workflow and production efficiency. Qualifications & Requirements Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to identify defects and distinguish acceptable products from sub-standard products. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Ability to learn new processes, tooling, and assembly techniques. Ability to maintain productivity and meet established production expectations. Basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry. Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or electrical component experience is preferred but not required. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods throughout a typical shift. Safety & Quality Safety and quality are essential to this position. The Assembly Operator I is expected to: Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Understand and follow safety requirements for the assigned work area. Immediately report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or incidents to a supervisor. Follow established quality standards and production procedures.
