Job Description

Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking Head Start Teachers to join our team. Champaign County RPC is a people-focused agency made up of over 100 programs designed to generate possibilities for all within our community. A great deal of planning goes into creating opportunities where people can succeed on their own, and RPC is doing that work. From analysis to policy guidance to offering services to our communities, RPC's people plan for people. Head Start Teacher is responsible for managing the classroom, carrying out a developmentally appropriate educational program to meet the individual needs of each child, and promoting good communication between the Head Start program, parents, and the community. Ability to fulfill all DCFS requirements, including a physical and criminal background check. Must have an AA or BS in Early Childhood Education. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Ability to practice civility at all times. Applicants must have a passion for children and families and the ability to support their success for self-sufficiency. Candidates seeking to join our team must be creative and be able to develop a positive classroom environment for the children that makes learning engaging, effective, and FUN!
