Summer Camp Program Teacher

Multicultural Community Center (MCC) located in Rantoul, Illinois. MCC-Rantoul works together with the community to promote and enable families to live a healthier and fuller life. The institution is seeking to provide services to the community in areas of education, cultural arts, recreation, community development, health and social services. The MCC welcomes all community members and celebrate diversity and differences in race, gender, social status, and ability status among others. Our Child Enrichment program supports our students with positive learning experiences. Multicultural Center is seeking a Summer Camp Program Teacher. The Teacher should ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs. Be warm and nurturing with children. The teacher is responsible for planning and helping out with activities, games, crafts and homework. The Teacher will provide students with a leadership role and be a positive role model to them. The teacher will engage with parents to coordinate homework and learning goals. Candidate must have Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) qualifications: - 6 College credit hours in early childhood education or education related courses. -One year of experience working with children.
