Bright Start After School is looking for an energetic, creative, and dependable Group Leader to lead engaging enrichment classes for elementary-aged children (Kindergarten-5th Grade) in our after-school program. Every afternoon, you'll lead a group of up to 14 children , creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment while teaching an enrichment subject you're passionate about. You'll also have 2 hours of paid planning time each week to prepare activities and lessons. We're looking for educators who want to make after school the best part of a child's day. Schedule This position requires availability all five days each week and follows the Arlington public school calendar (including school vacations, holidays, and scheduled closures).

Starting Pay:

$28.00 per hour What You'll Do Lead a consistent group of up to 14 elementary-aged children. Plan and teach engaging enrichment activities throughout the school year. Create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive classroom environment. Supervise indoor and outdoor play, snack, transitions, and daily routines. Build meaningful relationships with children and families. Collaborate with fellow educators to provide an outstanding after-school experience. Help children develop confidence, creativity, curiosity, and friendships. Share Your Passion At Bright Start, every Group Leader brings something unique. We're Looking For Someone Who Is Enthusiastic and energetic Creative and enjoys planning engaging activities Reliable with excellent attendance Patient and positive with children Organized and able to manage a group independently A strong communicator and team player Passionate about helping children learn through play and exploration Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following is required: Elementary education Early childhood education After-school or enrichment programs Summer camps Recreation programs Coaching Physical Requirements Ability to actively engage with elementary-aged children throughout the afternoon.
