Description:
This training will provide educators with the opportunity to learn about competency-based teaching, learning, and grading within an alternative high school model. Teachers will learn to create curriculum maps that align learning outcomes, content skills, and assessments throughout the year. Teachers will also learn how to teach College and Career Readiness competencies through an outcome-based learning model.
Required Education/Experience:
DESE Educator Certification Scheduled to work with the Alternative High School during the 2026-2027
School Year Preferred Education/Experience:
Experience working with linguistically and socio-economically diverse students.
Essential Duties:
Train on the Edmentum curriculum platform for use at the Alternative High School. Develop curriculum maps for various courses, including Advisory. Share all created materials with the district. Meet on August 27, 8 a.m.- 3 p.m.
Remuneration:
$280 based on $40/ hr for a maximum of 7 hours.
