After-School Teacher (K-5) 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Hingham, MA 02043 $33.78 an hour - Full-time Kids in Action 22 reviews $33.78 an hour - Full-time Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After-School Teacher to support students in grades K-5. The ideal candidate will create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can learn, play, and grow after the school day. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys working with elementary-aged children, brings positive energy to group settings, and works well as part of a team. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities, including: STEM activities Arts & Crafts Literacy enrichment Group and table games Outdoor and gym play Music and dramatic play Support positive peer interactions and social development Provide individualized (1:1) support when needed Maintain a structured, engaging, and inclusive environment Assist with daily setup, cleanup, and organization of program spaces Maintain a positive, enthusiastic presence as a role model Attend staff meetings and participate in team planning Complete required professional development hours and training Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification (annual requirement) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field preferred Experience working with children in a classroom, after-school, or camp setting Knowledge of Massachusetts EEC regulations preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience with positive behavior management and de-escalation strategies Ability to lift up to 20 lbs as needed Must pass required HPS and EEC background checks • Please apply through the following link: https://hinghamschools.schoolspring.com?jobid=5787194
