Medway Extended Day, Inc. (MEDI) Hiring for the 2026/2027
School Year Hours:
Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-6:00 PM (Flexible).
Work Location:
In person Medway Extended Day, Inc. (MEDI) is seeking an energetic, creative, and dedicated After School Teacher to join our vibrant team! If you are passionate about inspiring young minds, building supportive relationships with students, and creating engaging activities that promote learning and fun, this role is the perfect fit. In this position, you will lead hands‑on, educational programs that spark curiosity, support social‑emotional development, and encourage creativity in students each afternoon. Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of children while working in a warm, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging after-school activities that encourage creativity, problem‑solving, teamwork, and social skills. Foster a positive and safe environment through supportive behavior‑management techniques. Supervise and interact with students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and activity spaces. Build strong relationships with children and families through positivity, encouragement, and excellent communication. Assist with daily routines such as snack distribution, transitions, cleanup, and end‑of‑day dismissal. Support program events, theme days, and special projects throughout the school year. Collaborate with team members to ensure a well-organized, enriching after‑school experience for all students. Requirements Prior childcare experience required . A passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development. Creativity and enthusiasm for planning meaningful, hands-on activities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, work collaboratively, and remain flexible in a fast‑paced environment. Previous experience in educational or youth program settings preferred but not required.
