After-School Instructor Bigfork ACES Inc. dba Bigfok Youth Center Bigfork, MT Job Details Part-time $20 - $25 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Serving Outdoor work experience Working with students Working with youth Meal assistance Full Job Description After-School Counselor Bigfork Youth Center | Bigfork, MT Part-Time | Monday-Thursday | Approximately 2:00-6:00 PM, some meetings on Fridays Bigfork Youth Center is looking for energetic, dependable, and caring After-School Counselors to join our team! Our after-school program gives local K-8 students a safe, fun, and welcoming place to spend their afternoons. Counselors spend their time playing with kids, leading activities, helping with homework, getting outside, serving meals, and creating the kind of environment where kids feel like they belong. This is a great position for someone who enjoys working with children and wants a part-time job that is active, meaningful, and genuinely fun. What You'll Do Supervise and engage with children during the after-school program Lead games, crafts, STEM projects, sports, outdoor activities, and other enrichment Encourage kids to participate, make friends, try new things, and have fun Help students with homework and educational activities when needed Assist with meal service and cleanup Maintain a safe, positive, and mostly screen-free environment Help manage behavior using patience, consistency, and positive guidance Communicate and work as part of a team Help with daily setup, cleanup, and program responsibilities Be a positive role model for the kids in our community We're Looking for Someone Who Is Dependable and shows up ready to work Patient, positive, and comfortable working with groups of children Energetic and willing to actively participate with kids Able to take initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do Comfortable being outdoors and on their feet Able to communicate professionally with coworkers, children, and families Willing to help wherever needed Interested in making a real difference for local kids Experience working with children is helpful, but we are also happy to train the right person. This position follows the Bigfork school calendar and is a great fit for college students, education majors, retirees, parents, or anyone looking for meaningful part-time afternoon work.
