We are looking for a reliable, energetic morning person who enjoys working with school‑age students and can confidently open the building each day. The Before Care Team Leader is the first point of contact for families and the anchor for our morning empowerment routine. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in early mornings, enjoys creating a peaceful start to the day, and takes pride in being dependable.
Morning Empowerment Includes:
Quiet reading and reflection Board games and puzzles SEL‑based morning empowerment activities Calm, structured routines that help students start their day with intention
Schedule & Pay Shift:
6:45 AM - 7:30 AM Paid until: 8:00
AM Hours:
10 hours per week Monday-Friday Opportunity to also work in the After Care program if desired. Responsibilities Open the building each morning and prepare the space for students Welcome families and serve as the morning liaison for questions and support Lead quiet, intentional morning activities Gather and organize supplies for afternoon staff Assist with inventory management to ensure materials are stocked Represent The Discovery Lounge with professionalism and positivity Support partnerships within the school environment Maintain a safe, calm, and structured morning environment Requirements Must be 18 or older At least 1 year of experience working with school‑age children Reliable transportation Strong communication skills Dependable, punctual, and consistent Able to pass a background check Flexible to work across 4 sites as needed Not a management or administrative role — this is a Before Care Team Leader position focused on morning operations and student support.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
