Requirements:
Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Earth, Physical or Biological Science or Subject Matter Specialization – Science Grades 5-8) Ability to conduct/facilitate laboratory investigations Knowledge/Experience with modeling and inquiry-based science instruction Knowledge/Experience with OpenSciEd (a plus) Knowledge of the scope and sequence of NJ Student Learning Standards (ie: Next Generation Science Standards) Knowledge of state assessment test specifications for science (ie: NJSLA) Ability to integrate technology effectively to enhance instruction Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching – a plus Knowledge of best practices in middle level education Willingness to collaborate with fellow department members Bilingual (a plus)
