A Middle or High School Teacher teaches middle school students, usually in grades 6 - 12, in a public or private school. Teaches one subject, or a group of subjects, such as math and science; works with one class all year or teaches different classes of students throughout the day. May mentor students, coach a school team or advise a student club. May specialize in working with students learning English or students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM
REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
Valid NM Teacher's Level II or Level III license appropriate to teaching assignment (200 K-8 license elementary, 350 5-9 mid level for middle school/300 7-12 secondary for middle school, and 300 secondary for high school).
5 or more years experience teaching students in K-12.
