Job Description

Overview Yeshiva Har Torah is seeking a passionate and dynamic 6th Grade English/Language Arts Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year . This part-time position includes teaching four sections each morning, from 8:35AM to 12:50 PM . The ideal candidate will inspire a love of reading and writing, foster critical thinking skills, and create an engaging and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Teach 6th grade English Language Arts , focusing on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with educational standards and school values. Cultivate a student-centered classroom that encourages discussion, creativity, and analytical thinking. Assess student progress through varied and meaningful assessments , providing constructive feedback. Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to support student growth and school initiatives. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure student success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field (Master's preferred). Teaching experience in English Language Arts, preferably at the middle school level. Strong knowledge of literature, writing instruction, and grammar . Ability to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment . Excellent communication and classroom management skills .
