Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team.Responsibilities:
- Be available Monday-Friday, September to early June After school
Program Staff:
2:45pm-6pm- Provide individual and group support to young people, addressing their emotional, social, and educational needs.
- Develop and lead recreational, educational, and social activities to promote positive relationships and a sense of community.
- Collaborate with other youth workers and professionals to design and deliver programs that meet the needs of the young people.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the young people, their families, and the wider community.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all young people in the program.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of program policies and procedures.
- Monitor and record the progress of the young people, identifying any areas of concern and implementing strategies to address them.
Skills:
- Experience working with young people, preferably in a youth work or education setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with young people and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old; minimum education of High School Diploma, some college preferred
