PM Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced After-School Teacher & Program Coordinator to join our team. This role combines both teaching responsibilities and daily operational management of the after-school program. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, highly organized, and capable of maintaining a structured, safe, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide academic support and enrichment to elementary school students (K-5) Plan and lead engaging educational and recreational activities Supervise daily program operations to ensure smooth workflow Manage and guide Teacher Assistants (TAs) Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all students Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and daily updates Ensure compliance with OCFS (Office of Children and Family Services) regulations and be prepared for routine inspections Handle daily administrative tasks and support overall center operations
Qualifications:
Valid New York State Teaching Certification (required) Prior experience teaching elementary school students (K-5) Must be able to work in person Monday through Friday, 3:00-6:00 PM Valid driver's license and ability to drive (school pick-up may be required) Strong classroom management and leadership skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passion for education and working with children Ability to multitask and handle both teaching and administrative responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in after-school programs or childcare centers Familiarity with OCFS regulations and compliance standards Experience managing staff or leading a small team
SALARY AND BENEFITS
: The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and experience of the individual candidate.
