New Rochelle School District is seeking highly qualified candidates for a 6th grade teacher positing in possibly English Language Arts (ELA) and/or Social Studies in a middle school setting. This is for a full time, tenure track teaching position.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

Extensive knowledge of the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards and The Culturally Responsive-Sustaining (CR-SE) Education Framework

The ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

An ability to motivate, engage, challenge and instruct students through a wide variety of teaching strategies

An understanding of early adolescent development

Ability to infuse technology into lessons

Experience using data analysis protocols to help drive instructional planning

The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals

Reflective practices and a commitment to professional learning

Candidates must possess appropriate New York State K-6 certification.
