Job Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Esports Activity Specialist to lead our after-school Esports program for middle school students at Pathways College Preparatory School in Saint Albans, Queens. The ideal candidate will create a structured, engaging, and inclusive environment where students can build teamwork, strategic thinking, communication, and digital citizenship through competitive and casual gaming.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and facilitate daily Esports sessions tailored to middle school students. Teach gameplay mechanics, strategy, sportsmanship, and online safety. Oversee the safe and responsible use of gaming equipment and technology. Manage student behavior, foster positive peer interactions, and promote inclusive participation. Track student attendance and maintain daily activity logs.

Qualifications:

Experience working with elementary or middle school youth in an after-school, recreational, or educational setting. Strong familiarity with popular multiplayer games (e.g., Rocket League, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Overwatch) and gaming consoles/PCs. Excellent group management, communication, and interpersonal skills. High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Youth Development, or related field preferred.
