Position and Location:
Our Market Square Center, located at 2500 West 25th Street in Cleveland, Ohio, is hiring a school-age lead teacher and a school-age teacher assistant. Apply today if you have experience in a childcare center or school setting.
Hours:
School Age Lead Teacher :
Monday through Friday split shift: 7:30am until 10:30am and then 1:30pm until 6pm. Split shifts have an incentive of an extra $1.00 per hour.
School Age Teacher Assistant :
Monday through Friday 1:30pm until 5:30pm.
School Age Lead Teacher Wage Information :
Full-time (Split) or Part-time afternoon-only hourly position commensurate with experience, training, and education.
Pay Rate Range:
$15.00 to $17.50 per hour. Split Shifts with more than a 3 hour timespan in between get an extra $1.00 per hour incentive! CPL 1 $15.00 per hour / CPL 2 $16.50 per hour / CPL 3 $17.50 per hour -
School Age Teacher Assistant Wage Information :
Full-time hourly position commensurate with experience, training, and education.
Pay Rate Range:
$14.00 to 15.50 per hour. CPL 1 $14.00 per hour / CPL 2 and up $15.50 per hour Reports to :
Center Director Job Description:
Homework assistance in one-on-one and small group settings; check work and ensure completion if possible Plan and/or implement engaging age-appropriate lesson plans for classroom activities and clubs Responsible for the care and supervision of children and classroom management at all times in accordance with licensing standards and best practices Work independently with a group of children with other teachers, leads, center staff and the director Build positive relationships with children, families and other staff members through prompt and accurate response and service, cheerful and professional attitude, and problem-solving spirit Manage a classroom environment that is fun and engaging Complete and document services provided, such as progress reports, attendance screenings, and assessments as required Provide functional classroom support and assist with meal service as required May be required to assist with center transportation plans Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with personnel and family information All other duties as needed/assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and experience in a school age setting are required; degree or willingness to obtain a School Age Endorsement though the state is preferred Experience in a classroom setting and with school age children is preferred Willingness to update job knowledge with required training, DCY licensing rules and SUTQ professional development opportunities, and industry trends Must be able to adapt quickly to changing environments and assignments as required We seek someone who is prompt and reliable and who possesses a genuine love of children Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs. as required Must be able to pass background checks and physical/ medical screening as required
