Job Summary:
Come and join our team of excellent educators at a dynamic, faith focused school! Our Lady of Perpetual Help School is over 100 years old with a sought-after legacy as a closely-knit community which academically, emotionally, and spiritually supports students and staff. OLPH is a Catholic community that aims to carry the tradition of Jesus Christ into the modern world. Our Lady of Perpetual Help School is seeking an ELA teacher for our middle school which consists of grades 6, 7 and 8. The position is full-time.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare lesson plans, online grading, implement differentiated instruction in English.
  • Responsible for the order, attention and well-being of students in the classroom.
  • Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field with a background in English.
  • Valid Ohio teaching license
  • Proven experience in teaching, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; sensitivity to and acceptance of diverse cultures and individuals.
  • Must successfully pass background checks, and complete online Virtus Protecting the Youth course.
