Job Description

Position Summary St. Teresa of Calcutta, a Catholic elementary school committed to academic excellence and faith formation, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Teacher . The ideal candidate will create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters students' growth in mathematical reasoning, scientific inquiry, and Catholic values. Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in middle school math and science 6-8 grades. Integrate Catholic values and faith-based learning into the curriculum and classroom environment. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with learning differences. Incorporate hands-on learning experiences, labs, technology, and real-world applications into lessons. Maintain a safe, respectful, and faith-filled classroom culture that encourages student participation and growth. Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments; communicate results with students and parents. Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to promote cross-curricular learning and community. Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, school liturgies, and faith formation opportunities. Support and attend school-wide activities, events, and extracurricular programs as assigned. Model professional, moral, and ethical standards in alignment with the mission of Catholic education. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification) in the state of [insert state]. Prior experience teaching middle school math and/or science preferred. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, faith-centered learning environment. Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Additional Information Full-time position beginning auguest 2026.
