Job Description

Job description: First Student Academy is an accredited private school that blends the flexibility of online learning with the support of an in-person Education Center. Our students complete an accredited online curriculum while receiving daily, individualized academic support on-site; and our facilitators are the heart of that experience. We're hiring a full-time Academic Facilitator / Learning Coach to guide, motivate, and support K-12 students as they work through their coursework in a structured, encouraging classroom environment. This is an ideal role for a teacher who loves working directly with students but wants a more flexible, individualized model than a traditional classroom; including experienced and retired educators. What you'll do Supervise and support students throughout the school day Help students stay on pace with their online coursework Provide one-on-one tutoring and small-group instruction Monitor attendance, academic progress, and student records Communicate regularly with parents about progress and concerns Coordinate with FSA's online teachers and administration Support testing administration and academic interventions Foster a positive, safe, and motivating learning environment What we're looking for Bachelor's degree required Teaching experience (elementary, middle, or high school) preferred Comfortable supporting multiple grade levels Strong classroom management and student-motivation skills Proficient with technology: Google Workspace/Classroom, Canvas, Zoom, Microsoft Office Florida Educator Certification a plus, but not required CPR/First Aid certification preferred Must pass a Florida Level 2 background screening A genuine passion for individualized, student-centered learning What we offer Competitive salary Paid holidays and PTO Professional development opportunities Performance bonuses Small student-to-teacher ratio and modern classrooms Supportive leadership and the chance to help shape an innovative school
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
