Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an enriching experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for campers. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing support, and fostering positive relationships with campers while ensuring their well-being and personal growth. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and personal development. Provide guidance and support to campers in various settings, including outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, sports, and educational programs. Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging inclusivity, respect, and cooperation among campers. Communicate effectively with campers' parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Assist in managing behavior through effective behavior management strategies to ensure a positive environment for all participants. Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team atmosphere that enhances the overall camp experience. Qualifications Experience working with students or children in a camp setting is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills to maintain order and facilitate learning in group settings. Previous childcare or tutoring experience is beneficial for supporting camper needs effectively. Familiarity with behavior management techniques to address various camper behaviors positively. Experience in daycare can enhance the creative aspects of camp programming. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children of diverse backgrounds.
