Job Description
After-School Instructor Responsibilities:
Lead groups of up to 16 students through curriculum-guided activities. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies. Adequately prepare for each program by reading the curriculum, watching training videos, and/or participating in face-to-face training sessions. Participate in periodic ESTEAM Learning Labs training & staff meetings.After-School Instructor Benefits:

Experienced working with children. Could be in a classroom, as a camp counselor, tutor, babysitter, or nanny Education degree or college students pursuing a degree in education, STEAM field, or a similar field An understanding of Classroom Management Ability to communicate effectively Criminal and Child Care Clearances will be needed before being employed. This is a contract, part-time position. Current potential schedules include Weekday after-school classes with RRISD Campuses.Starting time:
2:30 pm ending 4:30 pm. Weekly after-school classes with Lake Travis ISD start at 2:30 p.m. or 3:45 p.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. or 5:45 p.m., respectively. YMCA classes begin at 5:00 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Have limited availability? That's okay! We only assign classes during your given availability. Candidate does not have to be available every day of the week to get a position. We customize your schedule to best fit YOUR schedule. We also have additional opportunities to work in the following areas. Weekend workshops and/or birthday parties.
