Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated After-School Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a group of elementary students in a variety of activities, including academic enrichment, arts and crafts, physical activities, and more. You will create a positive and inclusive atmosphere where students feel encouraged to participate and express themselves.

Hours for position:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 2:30pm - 6:15pm. Full time (8-5:30 with a break) M-F during summer and when the kids are out for school breaks.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that align with students' interests and developmental needs. Supervise students during after-school hours, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Foster positive relationships with students, providing guidance and encouragement. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about students' progress and any concerns. Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate activities and maintain a cohesive program. Address any behavioral issues in a constructive manner and promote positive social interactions among students. Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents or concerns.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting, preferred but will train. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to plan and implement engaging activities for diverse age groups. Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. CPR and First Aid certification, preferred but not required. We can assist with getting certified, upon hire. Ripley Do Das is an equal opportunity employer.
