Monday-Friday | 2:30-6:30

PM Group Leader Pay:

$14.50-$15.00/hour

Site Director Pay:

$16.00-$17.50/hour No weekends, except occasional required trainings!

We are hiring to serve our Midlothian ISD Families! Join the YMCA Childcare team and help create a safe, engaging, and intentionally fun afterschool experience for children. We are looking for Group Leaders and Site Directors who enjoy working with youth, building strong relationships with children and families, and making a positive impact in their community. Group Leader Requirements At least 18 years old with a high school diploma/GED or higher Childcare or youth experience preferred, but not required Must meet Texas childcare licensing requirements and pass required background checks Must complete required YMCA and childcare training Site Director Requirements At least 21 years old with some college coursework Minimum 1 year of licensed childcare experience 70 clock hours of training OR 2 college courses in psychology, sociology, childcare, management, or a related field Must meet all licensing, background check, and training requirements Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills What You'll Do Provide active supervision and maintain accurate child counts Build positive relationships with children, parents, school partners, and YMCA staff Create a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and fun environment Lead enrichment, recreational, and educational activities Use positive behavior guidance and age-appropriate redirection Follow attendance, authorized pickup/release, safety, and emergency procedures Communicate professionally with parents about their child's experience and program needs Report and document incidents, accidents, safety concerns, and suspected abuse as required Maintain confidentiality and follow YMCA and licensing policies Be a positive role model by demonstrating respect, patience, integrity, and professionalism

Site Directors:

Lead daily site operations, supervise and coach staff, build relationships with families and school partners, maintain required records, and ensure YMCA and licensing standards are followed Employee Perks
