Job Description
Responsibilities:
+ Review and process land transaction documents (deeds, easements, leases, permits, timber sales), including legal description review and timely return of corrections. + Maintain and update the Land Records database (Land folio), including entry of instruments, parcels, ownership, encumbrances, and linking of related documents and records. + Interpret and apply legal land descriptions (PLSS and metes-and-bounds) to ensure accurate parcel creation, ownership tracking, and coordination with GIS for spatial updates. + Research, validate, and reconcile land ownership and historical records using digital systems, archived documents, and supporting materials. + Manage and track encumbrances (leases, permits, easements), including status updates, periodic reviews (e.g., expired or pending instruments), and support for reporting requirements. + Maintain official land records systems and files, including digital storage, hard copy records, and archival processes, while ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with Idaho Code § 58-119. Minimum Qualifications The minimum qualifications for the details are: + Working knowledge of the Public Land Survey System (PLSS), including township, range, section, aliquot parts, and metes-and-bounds descriptions. + Familiarity with land records data schemas that model parcel geometry, surface and subsurface ownership, encumbrances, and related instruments. + Experience reviewing, interpreting, or editing technical, legal, or land-related documents. + Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with firm deadlines. + Familiarity with GIS, land records databases, or other enterprise systemsBenefits:
