Job Description

We are seeking a
  • _Homewood Museum Coordinator_
  • to provide overall assistance and security to the museum along with primary responsibility for visitor services.
Responsibilities include:
opening and closing the museum; taking payments via our POS system; welcoming guests; and performing basic office and maintenance duties as needed.
  • Specific Duties & Responsibilities
  • + Serve as primary on-site staff person during weekend hours of operation + Open and close site on weekend days.
+ Oversee and support any special weekend site activities + Take payment for admissions as shop sales using POS system + Welcome guests and provide basic information about the history of the site and how to navigate it. + Notify supervisor of any problems with house or collections (damage, theft, etc.). + Perform general office duties as assigned by supervisor. + Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting. + Other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • + High school diploma or graduation equivalent. + Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

  • + Public speaking, engaging communication, learning a significant amount of history
